The Producer
Stettyn Family Vineyards is one of the Breede River Valley’s most storied estates, with roots stretching back to 1714. Since 1818 the Botha family has farmed this 438-hectare property — now in its eighth generation — under the watchful eye of winemaker JM Crafford. The estate’s 1777 homestead is a declared National Monument, nestled between Worcester and Villiersdorp.
Vintage & Terroir
The 2025 vintage was grown on Stettyn’s home vineyards in the Worcester ward, Breede River Valley. The warm, continental climate tempered by cool nights preserves the delicate floral and fruit character that defines this rosé. Chardonnay brings structure and a creamy texture; Pinot Noir adds freshness and that pale salmon colour.
In the Cellar
JM Crafford uses gentle pressing and cool fermentation to lock in freshness and pale colour — a Provence-inspired approach that keeps this rosé crisp, clean and immediately appealing. No oak, no intervention.
Tasting Notes
Pale salmon in the glass. The nose is fresh and aromatic — strawberry, white peach and a hint of rose petal. Crisp and dry on the palate with light red berry fruit, refreshing acidity and a clean finish. Awarded Rosé Wine Challenge Gold, Michelangelo Gold, SA Terroir District Winner and Veritas Silver — all in 2025.
