Welcome to Vinty! We’re thrilled to have you here. Our goal is to make discovering and enjoying great South African wine as simple and enjoyable as possible. These Terms of Service are our agreement with you—the ground rules to ensure we can keep bringing you exceptional wine with no pretence. Please read them carefully.

By using our website (vinty.co.za) and purchasing our products, you agree to these terms.

1. The Most Important Rule: You Must Be of Legal Drinking Age

This one is non-negotiable.

You must be 18 years of age or older to use this website and purchase alcohol in South Africa.
By placing an order, you confirm that you are of legal drinking age.
Our delivery partners are legally required to verify age upon delivery and may request identification. If proof of age cannot be provided, the delivery will be refused, and a cancellation fee may apply.

2. Our Products & Pricing

We take great pride in the wines we select, from our curated Lekker Labels to our secret-deal Unlabelled Collection.

Availability: All wines are subject to availability. We strive to keep our stock levels up to date. However, if an item you’ve ordered is unavailable, we will contact you immediately to arrange a suitable replacement or a full refund.
Pricing: All prices are displayed in South African Rand (ZAR) and are inclusive of Value-Added Tax (VAT).
Errors: While we double-check everything, pricing or descriptive errors may occasionally occur. If we spot an error in an order you’ve placed, we will inform you as soon as possible and give you the option to reconfirm your order at the correct price or cancel it for a full refund.

3. Placing & Paying for Your Order

The Agreement: Placing an order on our website constitutes an offer to purchase. A legally binding agreement of sale only comes into effect once we have dispatched your order.
Payment: We accept payments through our secure payment partner, Payfast. Your payment details are encrypted and handled securely. We do not store your full credit card information on our servers.
Right to Refuse: We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion, for reasons including but not limited to stock unavailability or suspicion of fraud. If we cancel an order for which payment has been made, a full refund will be issued.

4. Delivery & Shipping

Our goal is to get your wine to you safely and efficiently.

Delivery Area: We deliver to most addresses within South Africa.
Delivery Times: Delivery times are estimated and are not guaranteed. While we work closely with our courier partners, unforeseen delays can occur.
Shipping Costs: Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your location and order size. Our free shipping threshold will be clearly indicated on the website.
Receiving Your Order: Please ensure someone of legal drinking age is available to receive the delivery. Title and risk in the products pass to you upon delivery. Please inspect your order upon arrival and notify us of any breakages or issues within 48 hours. For more details, please see our Happiness Assured! Policy.

5. Our “Happiness Assured!” Guarantee

We stand behind every bottle we sell. Our returns and refunds process is governed by our Happiness Assured! Policy, which forms a part of these Terms of Service. It’s our simple promise that if you’re not happy with a wine, we’ll make it right.

License: We grant you a limited license to access and use our website for personal, non-commercial use.
Copyright: All content on this website, including text, logos, images, and software, is the property of Vinty Wines or its suppliers and is protected by South African and international copyright laws.
Liability: You use this website at your own risk. While we strive to ensure all information is accurate, we do not warrant that the site will be error-free. We will not be liable for any damages arising from the use of this website.

Your privacy is incredibly important to us. We handle your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which outlines what data we collect and how we use it, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time to reflect changes in our business or legal requirements. The version posted on our website at the time of your order will apply to that order.
