The Producer
This Stellenbosch Sauvignon Blanc comes from an established estate in one of the Cape’s most respected wine districts. It’s part of the XCellar Standard Range: real estate wine, selected directly from our partner cellars and sold without the label. The producer’s name stays under wraps, which is exactly what lets us pour wine of this quality at an insider price. You get what’s in the bottle, not what’s printed on it.
Vintage & Terroir
The grapes come from selected vineyards around Stellenbosch, where well-drained soils, moderate temperatures and cooling breezes off False Bay suit Sauvignon Blanc perfectly. 2026 was a demanding season across the Cape: a warm, dry start, welcome February rain and March heat spikes that sped up ripening. Smaller berries meant concentrated flavour, and for Sauvignon Blanc that’s the recipe for bright, expressive fruit.
In the Cellar
The fruit is hand-harvested, destalked and chilled quickly, then given a short spell of skin contact to draw out flavour and aroma. A cool, slow fermentation protects the fresh fruit character. The wine then rests on its lees for as long as possible, building the texture and mouthfeel that set it apart from leaner, simpler Sauvignons.
