This fragrant nose shows prominent notes of sour cherries, red berries and earthy undertones complemented by a variety of spiced aromatics – particularly black pepper. The palate shows fresh acidity and great structure, whilst developing into a spicier character and ending with well-balanced, ripe tannins.

Crystalline Chardonnay has none of those muddying, sickly additions that compel so many to declare – “We don’t like Chardonnay!” No toasted barrels, no oak chips, no oak-flavoured powder. This crystalline wine reflects a noble white grape in its purest form.

Slow Chenin Blanc is not fermented with fast-acting, or aroma-‘enhancing’ commercially selected yeast. The grapes do not take three weeks to get from vineyard to bottle. It is crafted the wild way – old vine fruit, fermented with wild yeast found naturally on the grapes…not in a packet. This magical transformation takes at least six months.

The nose of the MCC Chardonnay is pleasant and inviting, biscuit notes and some ripe stonefruits. Complexity on the palate with green apple and biscuit. Fine acids that give the wine a good structure. It can be enjoyed on its own or with some classic red fruit desserts.
